Fed Reserve Gets Powdery Package

The Houston Fire Department had to check out a suspicious package delivered to the Federal Reserve building:

"Houston Fire Department hazardous materials crews are testing a package with a white powder that was delivered to the U.S. Federal Reserve building.

The substance was discovered when the package was inspected in the bank's pre-entry area and workers alerted the fire department, said Bob Smith, senior vice president at the bank.

An HFD spokesman said the firefighters were dispatched about 4:15 p.m. after they received reports of a "suspicious substance" at the federal reserve building on Allen Parkway near Taft.

The hazardous materials crews are trying to determine what the powder is, Smith said.

"We take extraordinary precautions," he added, " because of our requirement that everything coming in to this compound is inspected."

Meanwhile, to top off another crazy, suspicious day, counselors were brought into Dillon's grocery stores in Kansas where 100 people were held hostage yesterday and another bomb threat was received today.

Perhaps Islamists are trying to turn all Americans into lunatics before they attack.

To Islamists: It won't work.  There are too many non-libbies in this country who will stop you.  More people are legally carrying concealed weapons in this country than you might think.
